How to use
- Select your sex, since the formula uses different measurements for men and women.
- Enter your height and neck circumference.
- Enter your waist measurement, plus hip measurement if female.
- The tool applies the US Navy circumference formula and shows your estimated body-fat percentage and fitness category. It is an estimate, not a clinical measurement.
Examples
- A man who is 180 cm tall with a 85 cm waist and 38 cm neck gets a body-fat estimate of roughly 18% by the US Navy method.
- A woman who is 165 cm tall with a 75 cm waist, 32 cm neck, and 95 cm hip gets an estimate of about 26%.
